Khosar Gang 6,090 meters Expedition
Khosar Gang: A Hidden Gem in the Karakoram Standing at 6,090 meters (20,008 feet), Khosar Gang is a challenging yet lesser-known peak in Pakistan-administered Kashmir’s Karakoram range. While not as famous as the region’s 8,000-meter giants, it offers a technical and rewarding climb for experienced mountaineers. The mountain’s steep slopes, rocky ridges, and possible glacier crossings demand strong skills in rock and ice climbing. Unlike some of the more crowded peaks, Khosar Gang provides a quieter, more remote adventure, perfect for climbers seeking solitude in the high Himalayas. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding Karakoram peaks and untouched landscapes of glaciers and deep valleys. However, the climb is no easy feat—proper planning, safety knowledge, and the right gear are essential to handle the altitude and technical challenges. For mountaineers looking to test their skills on a less-traveled but demanding peak, Khosar Gang is an excellent choice. It combines adventure, beauty, and the thrill of exploring a hidden corner of the Karakoram.
